December 31 in my family is a day we celebrate New Year's Eve and later we are on winter holiday until January 8. Is there a problem, if I start later?
No, not at all. You may start whenever you want. December 31 is the perfect day to start for all passionates of puzzles who do not celebrate New Year's Eve. Most people celebrate. So we have still less activity on this day. Other players are -like you said- on holiday in the first days of January, or have a lot of extra work on their working place every beginning of a month, and start a little later. So we offer to start on December 31, but it is not a must-do. You have 60 days to enjoy the WPD and it's up to you, if you enjoy all 60 days or less. But on March 1, 2021, at 12:00 midday CET (Our watch is on the page WPD 2021!) we close the door to count all pieces and puzzles, and your puzzle should be finished until this closing time.
